Dreadful until your service assisted and then I believe it was the threat of a poor review that got them to honour the warranty. Pretty sure if Id waiting for them to respond Id have heard nothing from their Australian agents.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Once I told the support group I had involved pissedconsumer.com.

I did this by email, online form and verbally when someone responded to my written concerns they organised a replacement asap. Will be too late to take with me on my holiday, but they did follow up.

I have several GoPro camera's and unfortunately i waterlogged my hero 12 - granted my fault but as a subscriber i'm entitled to purchase a new one at a reduced rate. In my request, i said i was heading on a trip in three weeks and needed to replace it.

My only response every day when i made contact was that someone would be in touch. That their wait time was three hours - plus. Well it's been a week and i log the issue every day and no response. I've tried the chat function and get a response saying they are unusually busy and to try again later.

I try again later and get the same message.

I've googled the toll free number in the U.S but that number gets a message bank but no one has rung me back.
The camera's are great when they work but this company is losing its consumer base. Next stop Google review.

ReelSteady GO

On the 8th of April, 2024 I sent an email to GoPro Customer Support in regards to my activation key to ReelSteady GO being disabled. As I attempted to login with my activation key I was prompted to purchase a premium plus subscription which totally disregards my previous purchase of the ReelSteady GO activation key in order to use ReelSteady GO.

As of today (tenth of April, 2024) I have not had a reply and I am now concerned that I will not receive a reply regarding this legal purchase not being fulfilled as I have read from online forums of customers experiencing similar things in regards to their GoPro camera orders not being shipped following the purchase procedure, customers not being able to find contact details for GoPro in order to request an update regarding their orders dating back months, customers sending their GoPro cameras as advised by GoPro and suddenly losing contact with staff for months and still to no avail, customers being advised to purchase products from the official GoPro store but not receiving the product at all, and customers who've also purchased a ReelSteady GO activation key then instantly being prompted to purchase a Premium+ subscription in order to use the application which they had just purchased. It seems as though, in the last case, that GoPro have released the ReelSteady GO application for customers to purchase for an amount of money which only gives the customer access to the application and if you'd like to use the application then you'd have to further purchase a subscription.

In the recent past this was not the case and I, like many others who use ReelSteady GO had not been notified of the change to a subscription model.

On what grounds would I stand to have this simple request be fulfilled? As I have previously purchased an activation key, I understand that I should be able to access the complete suite of paid functions of the software as I always have since first purchasing my activation key.

Please, if I have misunderstood, I am open to learning more about this case.

I’ll still using GoPro again as long as they resolve those issues I mentioned before, if not then I’ll move to the competition brand.Bearing in mind that at the moment my camera is malfunctioning and I need a replacement

Customer services don't exist. It feels like you are dealing with a scam company.

I have been trying all day long but I cant even open my account, I meant to take payment for the subscription took like 10 seconds but to sort my issue with the camera is inaccessible.
I am really disappointed, I had been customer since the first naked camera, first action camera in the market I had go all the fittings and all the gear I have had many go-pro cameral almost all the models but it looks that doesn't matter they prefer to loose a customer like me rather than activate the customer services system. I am sorry but I think your services aren't good enough to keep using your products.

Ridiculous subscription policies plus no consideration to fix the issue and person I spoke with did not have any idea how to address nor wanted to. It all began when I received an email from GoPro, notifying me that my $49.95 monthly subscription needed to be renewed.

Given that I wasn't particularly keen on continuing with the same plan, I decided to decline the renewal offer.

However, things took a turn for the worse when I attempted to update my credit card information to ensure the non-renewal. To my surprise, GoPro's system was set to charge me the full $49.95, despite the previously offered $24.95 rate.

Feeling understandably frustrated and bewildered, I reached out to GoPro's chat support in the hopes of resolving this issue. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The support agents were unhelpful and, frankly, rather unpleasant in their responses.

Instead of addressing my concern, they simply instructed me to "contact billing."

This is where the frustration peaked. Not only was there no clear way to contact GoPro's billing department, but I also couldn't find any email addresses or phone numbers for anyone at GoPro. It felt like hitting a brick wall, and I was left with no viable means of resolving the issue.

In the end, this entire experience left me feeling scammed and disillusioned with GoPro's customer service.

It's disheartening to encounter a company that offers such little support and transparency to its customers. My hope is that by sharing this story, others can avoid falling victim to similar frustrations and inconveniences when dealing with GoPro.

I am having same issue. Paid for premium+ they took my money but same plan no 500GB still 25GB and no help from GoPro I think we should start a class action law suit what do you think?? Defective product and terrible customer service

I returned my camera (GOPRO 10BLACK) because it runs hot, errors out and shuts down within the first 15 minutes of use. I should have researched GOPRO products before paying over $294 for the camera and accessories. I was shocked to find terrible review after terrible review. Literally pages of discussed customers. It is infuriating how GOPRO so callously run me and customers before me in circles. Apparently, assuming we will get frustrated and simply GO AWAY.
